Officers'  toy drive makes holidays bright

The caring hearts and generosity of Pasadena ISD students and employees helped make the holidays brighter for some local families at the Christmas in the Park event, sponsored by the City of South Houston.

A toy drive sponsored by the Pasadena ISD Police Officers Association netted more than 300 toys that were distributed to families in need at the event.

"We appreciate the generosity of the students and all those who made donations," said Officer David Garza of the association. “Their efforts have played a big part in making many children happy.”

Carter Lomax Middle School donated $200 worth of toys to the event. “I am very proud of our students," said Carter Lomax Principal Norma Penny. "They really showed how much they care and how willing they are to help others in need.”
