ISD Superintendent Dr. Kirk Lewis was recently honored with the
Texas School Public Relations Association’s
Professional Achievement Award.
The award honors TSPRA members that have
been involved in the organization for at least 10 years and who
have exhibited a creative, dedicated, and professional approach
to school communications.
Lewis served as TSPRA’s president in
2003-2004. He has also served as a regional vice president for
the association. He has been a member of the organization for
more than 20 years and has received numerous awards.
Lewis came to Pasadena ISD in 1986 as
Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent responsible for
communications and policy development and has since worked
closely with three different superintendents. He was promoted to
Executive Director for Communications and Community Relations in
1995 and to Deputy Superintendent for Administration, Public
Relations and Governmental Affairs in 2001. He was named
Superintendent of Schools in April 2006.
