Pasadena ISD Superintendent Dr. Kirk Lewis was recently honored with the Texas School Public Relations Association’s Professional Achievement Award.

The award honors TSPRA members that have been involved in the organization for at least 10 years and who have exhibited a creative, dedicated, and professional approach to school communications.

Lewis came to Pasadena ISD in 1986 as Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent responsible for communications and policy development and has since worked closely with three different superintendents. He was promoted to Executive Director for Communications and Community Relations in 1995 and to Deputy Superintendent for Administration, Public Relations and Governmental Affairs in 2001. He was named Superintendent of Schools in April 2006.
