two assistant principals

The Pasadena ISD Board of Trustees recently approved the appointment of a new principal for Jensen Elementary and two assistant principals.

She began her career in Pasadena ISD in 1994, teaching third and fifth grade bilingual classes at Matthys Elementary.

Martha Andrade was appointed as an assistant principal at Richey Elementary School. She has served as a bilingual instructional specialist for the district since 2004 and was previously a teacher and peer facilitator at South Houston Elementary. Andrade began her career as a bilingual teacher at Richey Elementary in 1996.

Demetria Pitts is now the new assistant principal at Moore Elementary. She had served as a third grade teacher at the school since 2001. Pitts replaced longtime assistant principal Cliff Swearingen, who passed away earlier this school year.
