Sam Rayburn nominated as
Grammy Signature School

Sam Rayburn High School has been nominated as a Grammy Signature School by the Grammy Foundation and the Recording Academy.

The award recognizes high schools in the United States with exceptional music education programs. Rayburn was one of 144 schools from around the country and only 9 schools from the state of Texas to be nominated for the award. Nominees will submit audition recordings and be selected to receive cash awards ranging from $1,000-$10,000. Final awards will be announced in March.

Sam Rayburn’s performing ensembles, including ENCORE!-the resident show choir, a percussion ensemble, chamber string and vocal ensembles, and the annual musical qualified it to be a nominee for the award. 

Grammy Signature Schools have outstanding choir, band, and orchestra performing ensembles and offer a variety of courses and programs to reach the as many students on campus as possible.
