Pasadena High School student Bianca Valerio was a finalist at the I Madonnari Festival and Art Competition in Houston recently. During the sidewalk art competition she was given eight hours to complete her artwork on a 3’ x 3’ square of the sidewalk at the University of St. Thomas.

As a finalist, Valerio won $200 and advances to the final round of competition on Oct. 11 at the 30th annual Festa Italiana for a chance to win an additional $300 cash grand prize. The final event is free and open to the public. For more details check the website at www.HoustonItalianFestival.com.
