- GEAR UP (Gaining
Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a
six-year grant from the federal government.
- The focus of the
grant is to increase the number of low-income students who are
prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
- The mentors
working with the GEAR UP students will have the opportunity of
continuing the mentorship over the course of the six years.
- The students
will be concentrating on choosing careers and determining a
postsecondary education pathway during this time.
