In Pasadena ISD, we strongly encourage
parental involvement. Parents, guardians and caregivers can make
a difference through parent/teacher organizations, classroom
activities, school committees and by simply encouraging students
in our academic and extracurricular programs. To support your
efforts, the district offers preschool, afterschool care,
bilingual education, parenting tips and GED classes. Together, we
can build a bright future for our children.

District announces
storm 'make-up' days
|
The Pasadena
Independent School District has announced a plan to make up for some
of the lost instructional days because of Hurricane Rita. District
officials have created a plan that is intended to have a minimal
impact on family holidays and vacation time.
The make-up days for Pasadena ISD students are as follows:
Thursday, Oct. 27 – Change from an early dismissal day
to a full instructional day
Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006 – Students report for second
semester
Monday, Jan. 16, 2006 – Change from a school holiday to
a regular instructional day
Friday, March 3, 2006 – Change from an early dismissal
day to a full instructional day
While the state waived all six days missed, district officials
believe it is in the “best interests” of the students to make up
some of the lost instructional days. |
