Earned vacation must be taken on or before July 31
of the following year. Time not taken on or before July 31 will be
canceled.
At the time of dismissal, resignation or
retirement, employees may receive cash payment for unused vacation
accrued prior to July 31, 1995. Cash payment shall be made at the
employee’s 1994-95 daily rate.
Effective August 1, 1995, cash payment in lieu of
vacation may be awarded upon resignation, retirement or termination
only for the current year’s earned vacation.
Any waiver that would extend the number of
vacation days beyond July 31 of the year following the year in which
the vacation is earned must be approved by the Board of Trustees.
