Coach Manuel Moreno Jr. was honored with the United States Tennis Association-Texas’s Lloyd Sessions Educational Merit Award for the second time at the 2025 Awards Luncheon on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center in Plano, Texas.

Coach Moreno's 26 years at J. Frank Dobie High School, 51 years with the City of Galveston's Parks and Recreation Summer Tennis Program, and involvement in the Texas Tennis Coaches Association all showcase his unwavering dedication to tennis education. His commitment has significantly contributed to promoting tennis statewide and shaping countless young athletes both on and off the court.
