Mentoring Overview
- An individualized mentoring program is an integral part of the success of ECHS students at the college level. Teachers and administrators are able to access students' high school grades, but do not have access to the students’ college grades.
- Each student is assigned a PISD ECHS teacher stationed at the college as a faculty mentor. This mentor is responsible for keeping a weekly record of students' grades, progress, and assistance provided.
- Mentoring takes place in AVID and during other advisory times, including Fridays when students so not have college classes.
