PASADENA, Texas — Pasadena Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Toni Lopez has been announced as a 2025-2026 Superintendent to Watch by the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA). The national recognition honors district leaders who demonstrate excellence in strategic communication, transparency, and community engagement while driving meaningful academic progress.

NSPRA spotlights Dr. Lopez’s leadership and her ability to connect beyond the district through strong partnerships with local organizations that maximize the opportunities and workforce connections for students. 

“Her leadership has unified our staff, inspired families, and positioned Pasadena ISD as a model for transparent, relationship-driven governance.,” said Kenny Fernandez, president of the Pasadena ISD Board of Trustees. Through every interaction, Dr. Lopez shows that communication is not just messaging, but a powerful tool for building trust, connection, and effective leadership.
