Pasadena ISD is proud to celebrate one of its outstanding students, Jonathan Pabon from V.W. Miller Intermediate School, who is representing the district at the Texas State Spanish Spelling Bee in El Paso.

The competition is currently underway—watch live as Jonathan competes alongside top students from across Texas for a chance to advance to the national level. Hosted in El Paso, the Texas State Spanish Spelling Bee brings together students who have advanced through campus, district and regional competitions, demonstrating mastery of Spanish spelling, vocabulary and pronunciation in a rigorous academic setting.
 

Supporting Jonathan every step of the way is his teacher and coach, Anakaren Garcia, who has helped prepare him for this moment. This also marks Garcia’s second appearance at the state competition.
