Traci Schott was born and raised in the state of Iowa. She is the daughter of a 3rd generation commercial farmer and 2nd grade schoolteacher/coach. Her parents’ example of devotion, acts of service and leadership for their church, community, school district, and agricultural region had an everlasting impact on her. She graduated from Coe College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree in Political Science, History, and Secondary Education.

After graduating from Coe, Ms. Schott was privileged to have the opportunity to work and travel across the continental U.S. as a Field Consultant for Tri Delta’s Executive Office overseeing the chapter operations at over 50 college and universities. She moved to Houston shortly thereafter and began her educational career at J Frank Dobie High School in the fall of 2009. Ms. Schott taught a range of social studies contents: World Geography, World History, American Government and AP Government before being promoted to the CCS role in 2014. In 2017, Ms. Schott obtained her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Urban Education from Texas A&M, then completed her Principal Certification from Lamar University in 2018.

Ms. Schott has two amazing children. Her oldest attends school in Pasadena ISD. As a family, they enjoy cheering on the Dobie Longhorns and during basketball season, Ms. Schott is a fixture at the table keeping the official book for the Longhorns. Ms. Schott also enjoyed serving her community, volunteering her time on the Finance Committee and Transportation/Infrastructure Committee.
