Kristen Gibson

District Specialist, Innovation & Development

Kristen Gibson is an innovative instructional leader with a passion for curriculum, instruction, and instructional technology. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Sam Houston State University and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Houston Clear Lake.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Kristen has honed her skills in primary grade language arts, curriculum writing, and adult coaching, supporting school leaders in achieving academic goals. She currently serves as an Innovation & Development Specialist where she leads strategic initiatives to drive adoption and engagement with the district’s learning management systems.

While in Pasadena ISD Kristen has also made significant contributions as a Digital Design Support and Instructional Digital Resource Support, enhancing educational content and platforms, and providing training for educators on effective utilization of digital tools.

Outside of her professional and academic endeavors, Kristen is an active member of the Houston Area Alliance of Black Student Educators (HAABSE), an organization dedicated to enhancing the education of all students, supporting educators in career planning and development, providing scholarships, and recognizing outstanding educators. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending quality time with her husband, Thristle, and their daughter, Morgan.
