Meet Leslie Hermes: The Heart of Bondy Intermediate’s Library

Leslie Hermes is the dedicated librarian at Bondy Intermediate, bringing 13 years of rich educational experience to the table. Her journey in education began as a Title I aide, and through her passion and dedication, she transitioned into teaching. Over the years, Leslie has taught a diverse range of subjects including Patriot Reading, ESL, ELAR, 7th and 8th grade history, and math.

Leslie’s multifaceted teaching background has shaped her into a well-rounded librarian, adept at finding the perfect resources for both students and teachers. Beyond her role as a librarian, she has been a steadfast support to her colleagues, serving as the campus technology liaison and textbook custodian.

Growing up, Leslie had a deep love for books and reading, despite being a struggling reader herself. This personal experience fuels her commitment to helping students who need a little extra support in finding their literary passion. Leslie is not just a librarian; she is Bondy’s guide to discovering the joy of reading.

She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education, Master of Instructional Design and Technology, and Master of Science in School Library and Information Science from the University of Houston Clear Lake.
