Ms. Nicol has dedicated her career to the field of education since 2005. While her primary focus has been teaching Reading and English Language Arts, she has demonstrated her versatility by teaching a wide range of subjects across grades 6-12.

Since 2008, Ms. Nicol has been a part of the Pasadena Independent School District. In January 2018, she took on the role of librarian at Thompson Intermediate, where she continues to share her passion for education and literature. She was awarded Secondary Librarian of the Year by her peers in 2023-2024.

Ms. Nicol holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University, Chicago, and a Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of North Texas. These academic achievements have equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in her profession.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Nicol is a proud mother of two sons and a basset hound owner. She is a true book enthusiast, finding great joy in connecting students with the perfect book and igniting their love for reading.
