Amanda Butcher

Mrs. Butcher is from Levelland, TX and has lived in Houston for 16 years. She has a BS in Early Childhood Development from Texas Tech University, a Master of Science in Reading with reading specialist certification and a Master of Science in School Library and Information Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

Mrs. Butcher has taught in Pasadena ISD for 14 years. She has experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, second grade and third grade. Currently she serves as the librarian at Pearl Hall Elementary. She is also the campus GT pull-out teacher, team leader and Spelling Bee Coordinator.

Mrs. Butcher has previously served on the district Name That Book Committee and is currently a member of the Library Advisory Committee. She also serves as a mentor librarian, working alongside new librarians in our district.
