ohn Bryan was a legendary track and cross-country coach at Dobie High School, leading the Longhorns to a state cross-country title in 1980 and a state track championship in 1981. A Pasadena High School alumnus, he also played on the 1958 Eagles' football team that reached the state title game. Bryan earned numerous accolades throughout his career, including being inducted into the Gulf Coast Track Coaches Hall of Honor and the Pasadena ISD Sports Hall of Fame.
