Michael "Mickey" Spencer was a trailblazing two-way lineman at Pasadena High School during the post-World War II years. His leadership and athletic prowess helped usher in a new era of high school football for the Eagles. 

High School and College Career

  • Pasadena High School

    : From 1944 to 1946, Spencer was a key member of the Eagles' football team, contributing to three consecutive district championships and a 25-5-4 record. As a senior in 1946, he became the first Pasadena ISD athlete to earn All-State honors, a recognition celebrated with a day named in his honor by the City of Pasadena.
  • Texas A&M

    : The class president at 

    Pasadena High

    , Spencer received a scholarship to play at Texas A&M under legendary coach Homer Norton. He earned three letters (1948–1950), and in his final season, he helped the Aggies achieve a 7-4 record and win the Presidential Cup.
