Pasadena Independent School District will celebrate the start of construction for two new elementary campuses with back-to-back groundbreaking ceremonies on Monday, April 21, 2025. Both celebrations will be open to the public and will take place in the cafeterias of the current schools.

The first ceremony will be held at Jessup Elementary at 10 a.m., followed by the Bailey Elementary ceremony at 1:30 p.m. The construction of these new campuses are a part of the 2022 bond program, which was approved by voters to support facility upgrades, improve safety, and expand learning opportunities across the district.

Jessup and Bailey Elementary Schools have each served the Pasadena community since 1958. The upcoming construction projects will replace the aging buildings with modern campuses designed to meet the needs of today’s students and educators.

Community members, staff, students, and alumni are invited to attend and join in commemorating these milestone moments.
