Gerard Kwiatkowski is a proud Sam Rayburn High School Texan, currently serving as the campus mathematics content specialist. He believes that education plays a fundamental role in uplifting individuals and communities. Gerard strives to ensure both teacher and student success, helping all to reach their fullest potential. His commitment to aligning curriculum and instruction with the lived experiences of students remains at the forefront of his work.

A native Michigander, Gerard earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Spanish from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, followed by a Master’s degree in Multicultural Education from the University of Houston, Clear Lake. He began his teaching career at Galena Park High School, where he later became the campus’ mathematics instructional specialist. Gerard then served as the mathematics specialist at Crosby Middle School. His extensive experience teaching and supporting mathematics curriculum for grades six through twelve has deepened his understanding of the importance of purposeful curriculum alignment and scaffolding course outcome expectations for students.

Gerard is committed to serving the students of Sam Rayburn and the greater Pasadena community for years to come. His dedication to education and student success drives him to create an inclusive and effective learning environment for all. Through his work, he aims to inspire both students and educators, fostering a community of kindness, growth, and achievement.
