Jason Shelton is an educator from Deer Park High School, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from the University of Houston Clear Lake and a Master's degree in counseling from Lamar University. He began his teaching career at Parkview Intermediate, where he taught junior high students for four years. He then moved to Costa Rica, spending seven years at a private school before transitioning to high school education. Mr. Shelton taught at Pasadena Memorial High School for four years.

Currently, he is in his 12th year as an Instructional Coach for Pasadena Independent School District (ISD). In this role, he focuses on supporting and enhancing instructional practices throughout the district, contributing to the professional development of teachers and improving student outcomes. Outside of his professional life, Jason is married to Melanie Shelton, and they have two children who are currently enrolled in Pasadena schools.
