Stephanie Nelson

District Specialist, GR 3-6 Social Studies

Stephanie Nelson has lived most of her life in Pasadena, Texas. After graduating from Deer Park High School, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Political Science from the University of Houston. Her passion for education was ignited after enrolling in Pasadena ISD's ATCP program and taking her first job as a classroom teacher. Her love for education ultimately inspired her to obtain a Master's Degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas.

Stephanie's versatile career has seen her serve as an Intermediate RLA teacher, Humanities Instructional Coach, and RLA Campus Content Specialist. Currently she serves our Pasadena ISD community as the Social Studies Curriculum & Instruction Specialist for grades 3-6. Her dedication to providing exceptional educational experiences for students has remained unwavering throughout her journey.

In her current role, Stephanie focuses on delivering professional development support to instructors, aiming to improve teaching practices and ultimately enhance student success. She has shared her knowledge and passion at local and state conferences, and served on the Social Studies TEKS Revision Committee for TEA, demonstrating her commitment to elevating the quality of education for all.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Stephanie enjoys reading, exercising, and exploring nature. Above all, she cherishes time spent with her family, finding immense fulfillment in raising her two children.
