Ashley Deadwyler

Campus Specialist, HS Social Studies

Ashley Deadwyler is a Social Studies Campus Content Specialist and Instructional Coach for Pasadena Independent School District. She serves South Houston High School and has been an educator for the last 26 years. Ashley came to Texas from Warner Robins, Georgia where she attended Warner Robins High School. She obtained her Bachelor's of Science in Education from Georgia College & State University and went on to complete her Master of Educational Leadership at Lamar University.

Ashley and her husband Ben have two children. Both Avery and Julian work in the Greater Houston area, Avery’s career is in the energy sector while Julian is a Financial Advisor. Ashley’s husband Ben is a computer programmer who provides support for college campuses and businesses across the country.

Arriving in Texas in 2003, Ashley began teaching at J. Frank Dobie High School as a Special Education Social Studies teacher while also becoming the Special Education Department Chair. Ashley then branched out to become a teacher of Social Studies and Advanced Placement World History.

In 2013, Ashley became a Campus Content Specialist and Instructional Coach at South Houston High School where today, she partners with teachers, administrators and district personnel to increase student achievement for our Pasadena students. Ashley believes that all students can learn at high levels and is committed to a continuous improvement in their educational experience.
