Starting her athletic journey at Dobie High School, Amanda Nguyen quickly established herself as a force to be reckoned with both on the softball diamond and the volleyball court. Excelling at second base, she played a pivotal role in securing four consecutive playoff appearances for the Lady Longhorns under the guidance of Coach Robin Rackley. Garnering accolades as a first-team all-district player in both her junior and senior years, Nguyen's standout performances earned her statewide recognition as an all-state athlete during her final season at Dobie.

Beyond her athletic prowess, Nguyen's academic achievements shone just as brightly, ranking an impressive 15th out of a graduating class of 762 students. Her multifaceted talents caught the attention of the U.S. Army during a Texas Showcase softball tournament, where her potential as a Division I player was recognized by a coach from the U.S. Military Academy.

Translating her skills to the collegiate level, Nguyen embarked on a remarkable journey at West Point, where she traded her position to become an outfield dynamo. Throughout her tenure, she rewrote the record books, earning first-team All-Patriot League honors each year and captaining the team in her senior season. Her junior year proved particularly memorable, leading the Black Knights to a Patriot League championship and an NCAA tournament berth with her blazing speed on the base paths and adept slap-hitting, setting new league and school records along the way.

Graduating as one of the most decorated athletes in school history, Nguyen held records for games played, hits, runs, and steals, solidifying her legacy as a standout performer. Her contributions extended beyond individual accolades, consistently leading Army in hits and ranking among the NCAA's top 25 in steals during her final two seasons.

Transitioning from the ballfield to the boardroom, Nguyen pursued her MBA at the University of Texas at Austin, furthering her academic pursuits. Currently, she serves as an admissions officer for the U.S. Military Academy, continuing her dedication to shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.
