A Look Back: Pasadena ISD Students Earn Top Honors at 2025 Houston Rodeo Art Auction

PASADENA, Texas — Five Pasadena ISD students earned top honors at the 2025 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo School Art Auction, with their artwork featured in champion lots selected from more than 4,000 entries submitted by students across the Greater Houston area.

A total of 14 Pasadena ISD students were selected for the prestigious auction, which showcases the best in student visual art. Among the auction lots were:


  • Madeline Amaya, Dobie High School – Class Champion, Lot 4

  • Issaura Perez, South Houston High School – Reserve Class Champion, Lot 12

  • Oscar Brizuela, Memorial High School – 3D Class Premium, Lot 21

  • Khloe Menchaca, Morales Elementary – Class Premium, Lot 23

  • Omayra Cerda, Memorial High School – 3D Reserve Class Premium, Lot 28

  • Danna Gallardo, Sam Rayburn High School – Lot 31

  • Lahnay Avendano, Dobie High School – Lot 32

  • Joshua Washington, Memorial High School – Lot 35

  • Linh Pham, Memorial High School – Lot 61

  • Giselle Moreland, Memorial High School – Lot 62

  • Julio Sosa, Sam Rayburn High School – Lot 73

  • Isabel Izaguirre, Memorial High School – Lot 84

  • Ellie Cantarero, Memorial High School – 3D Premium Award

  • Nicole Tran, Memorial High School – 3D Premium Award

In a historic first for the district, Khloe Menchaca, of Morales Elementary earned the Elementary Class Premium title in Lot 23, becoming the first Pasadena ISD elementary student to have artwork auctioned at the event.

Our visual art students continue to gain recognition at both the regional and state levels, and we proudly support the next generation of artists in reaching their full potential.
