Collegiate Scholars Home

The Pasadena ISD Collegiate Scholar Program is an invitation-only initiative designed to support students aspiring to become National Merit Scholars, National African American Recognition Program Scholars, and National Hispanic Recognition Program Scholars. This program provides multiple entry points to ensure that students receive tailored support for their specific learning needs.

Eligibility and Selection:

  • Students qualify by scoring in the top 5% of all students in their grade level on the PSAT.
  • Selected students are notified in December of each school year.

Program Requirements:

  • Students must earn 30 points by participating in various academic activities, including:
    • Live tutoring sessions
    • Khan Academy practice modules
    • Albert.io practice tests
    • Special events hosted by SAT prep instructors or counselors
  • The program is free for all students.
  • All requirements must be completed by the end of March of their senior year.

Recognition:

  • Upon successful completion, students receive a Collegiate Scholar Cord to be worn as a mark of distinction at graduation.
