Traci Powell

Executive Director- Curriculum, Instruction, & Innovation

Traci Powell is the Executive Director for Curriculum, Instruction, and Innovation at Pasadena Independent School District. With over 21 years of experience in education, Traci has held various roles including teacher, campus coach, district specialist for Language Arts, and curriculum coordinator before assuming her current position. In her role, Traci oversees the development and implementation of curricula, instructional, and innovation models at Pasadena ISD, serving as a key instructional leader for the district.


Traci's work involves collaborating with stakeholders district-wide to ensure students receive an optimal educational experience through an equitable, innovative, and cohesive curriculum. She is also actively involved in providing training for district leaders to enhance instructional practices and support student learning.
Currently, Traci is engaged in district initiatives and partnerships such as the whole child initiative with Gradient Learning and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Traci holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Houston, reflecting her dedication to literacy, continuous learning, and fostering collaborative partnerships that positively impact the individuals she serves.


Traci's career is driven by her passion for innovation, commitment to lifelong learning, and her belief in the power of collaborative efforts to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.
